This is a new decade and a new millennium. Gothic music may sound different to a certain extent, or maybe it is just the illusion of change. Anyway, we have been blessed with great vocals and great melodies this year. What will happen After Forever? A debut number 1 album that we shall remember for years to come. Who will really survive the agony of time? Who will resist the temptation of softness? Sanguis Vitae, Tiamat, Evereve, Muse? Some of them will surely disappear from the scene, but not from our memories. The year 2000 is the beginning of something. Only later, we shall be able to define it.
