Legendary acts The Gathering are back with their first album in 10 years called "Beautiful Distortion". There's a subtle rock sound in this album that combines post-rock and art rock to mirror the album's vibe. In fact, this album needs not one or two listens, but enough to be able to assimilate what the band tried to capture. As for vocalist Silje Wergeland, she is definitely rising to the challenge with her willowy voice. In brief, "Beautiful Distortion" is made of solid songcraft and strong melodies, hoping we will see frequent gatherings!
